Welcome

Clinical and translational research is a multi-dimensional, cross-cutting discipline that encompasses multidisciplinary investigative teams from many different subspecialty areas working in parterships with industry, government agencies, and philanthropy. The founding of the Society for Clinical and Translational Science (SCTS) is a milestone in forging a cultural identity for clinical and translational science, advancing research and education in the discipline, and encouraging students and trainees to choose careers in clinical and translational science. We are truly delighted to share with you the enthusiasm and optimism that we feel about the potential of SCTS to advance the goal of harnessing the power of science to improve human health and alleviate suffering from disease.

Note about font size and style sheet

This is the default font size for text on this site, which is defined in the CSS style sheet.

The larger text on all the pages of this site was hardcoded when content was created, by using a Size = 'Small' in the text editor which overrides the site's style sheet.

The correct way to handle this is to increase the default Size in the site's style sheet, and then do not override the size in the text editor when creating content.  Once the style sheet is updated, it is a global change throughout the whole site that will increase the font size in all locations.
